I'm Peanut Butter and You Are Jelly

Acknowledgements:

First off I just have to say that I've been meaning to put this together for some time but my good friend Sara Elggren made me decide to finally get my blog going, so everyone can thank her for my inspirational posts to come on this page:) Second off if my blog starts to look cute (not too much right now because my creative director is sick today), it's because of my incredible sister Mandee, with her extensive skill and talent in digital art, and has nothing to do with my little knowledge of computers or how they work. With those acknowledgements being made I begin my first fun filled, hap hap happiest, Craypo Family blog post this side of the north pole!

The Blog Name:

I had no idea what to name my blog because everyone else is so creative, and I tend to only have spurts of creativity, so I thought and thought and the only thing I could come up with is PB&J. This of course universally stands for Peanut Butter and Jelly which everyone knows is the greatest combination on earth, but to me it means Paislee, Ben and Julee, which are the first names of the sweet people who make up my small family (and also the greatest combination on earth ;)). Paislee is our soon to be newest addition to our family in August. We are so excited to meet her and she, of course, represents our little peanut in this combo. Ben is my husband and he is an amazing person! I can't think of a better person to be the smooth butter that just makes everything better in our family. I, of course, am the one and only Julee. I am the jelly, not just because I'm sweet, wink wink, but I'm kinda sticky and a bit sour sometimes too... Luckily my counterparts balance me out and that's why my Paislee and Ben are Peanut Butter and I am Jelly and we're so happy on our little piece of bread:) I know that when we start to have more kids, I'll have to think of a new name, but for now I think this one will suffice.

Our Family In it's Current State:

First just a quick re-cap. Ben and I were sealed in the Manti Utah Temple on July 17th, 2010. Before Ben and I got married, I did not want to have kids for awhile!  I wanted to have fun with my new husband and travel and just be free! We both decided that this was the best scenario for the both of us and so when we got married, that was the plan. It was about a month into our marriage that I started to have this burning feeling that I wanted a baby...Uh oh...I was kind of taken back by it, as this was not part of our original plan! When I went to church I would literally be sitting in a sea of babies in Relief Society, one on each side, one in front and one in back! I'm not exaggerating! I would find myself sitting there, staring at all these babies and all of a sudden I started day dreaming about a little mini combo of Ben and I. That was it! In my mind, plan changed, we start to try and have a baby, all I have to do is convince Benji. When I talked to Ben about it, he was a little hesitant. See the thing is that Ben is 2 years younger then me and, even though is mature for his age, he wasn't sure if he was ready. After a long discussion and a prayer or two, he was convinced and that was it. 3 months later I was pregnant and here we are! Paislee is due in August and even though we are a little scared to be new parents, we also are comforted knowing that this precious little girl will be the biggest blessing in our lives!

So here we are, just starting out on this journey called life. I know our family is not perfect and just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with all it's goodness, can be incredibly messy and crumbly, but that's what it's all about. Just picking things up and putting them back together, making life the sweetest it can be and always doing our best to improve. Ben and I are so happy to be where we are today, no matter how far behind or ahead we are of others. We are just here to do our part and hopefully make the world a little better by contributing what we can; trying to create our little slice of heaven in the process! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy our blog.
